Luxology is making a Universal Binary version of its 3D modeling software Modo available to users and interested parties, which runs on Apple’s Macintosh models with Intel Core Duo processors. According to Luxology, the new version runs more than twice as fast as the Modo 201 beta used for comparison. This makes the company one of the first providers of graphics software optimized for the new Intel-based Apple computers.
The Universal Binary version is available for download from the Modo website (see link below). It is free for registered Modo users. The new Modo 201 is due to ship from April and cost 895 US dollars. Buyers of the still-current version receive a free upgrade to Modo 201.
