The ZBrush modelling tool from Pixologic is appearing in an interim revision 2.5 that can handle large polygon counts better and will also run on 64-bit systems.

Textures and masks are now available three-dimensionally in Projection Master, and Mesh Extraction creates new geometry from selections in order, for example, to model clothing easily starting from a body.

3D layers allow the combination of several independent working layers, Poly Painting permits editing without UV maps, and Topology Projection can be used to transfer high-resolution details between objects.
