Under the name “Maxwell Render 1.1 OSX Universal Binary Edition,” the Spanish software manufacturer Next Limit Technologies has provided a new Mac version of its render suite that natively supports both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
Next Limit recommends the update to PowerPC owners as well, because it also fixes some bugs on this platform, increases performance and brings some smaller new features and workflow improvements.
The following plug-ins are currently compatible with the Universal Binary version: Cinema4D, Maya, FormZ and LightWave 3D. The update is available immediately via the Maxwell Render website.
