The French software manufacturer Realviz is presenting its new motion-capture software “Movimento” at the Game Connection trade show in Lyon (December 5 to 7).

Movimento is basedon Realviz’s “Smart” tracking engine and specializes in tracking the movements of “soft,” non-rigid objects, such as people, faces or animals.

The starting point for tracking is synchronized image material from at least two cameras. It makes no difference whether the cameras are fixed or movable. The frame rate and resolution can also be different.

Movimento records the tracked 3D points and the camera data. It supports FBX, TRC, 3ds Max, Maya and XSI as export formats.

Movimento currently runs under Windows. In the future, however, it is also intended to support Macs.
