The Spanish software manufacturer Next Limit Technologies has presented updated plug-ins for the three 3D applications 3ds Max, Cinema 4D and Maya. The plug-ins have the task of preparing the data for Next Limit’s render engine Maxwell Render.
Among other things, the updated Maya plug-in offers improved integration into the Maxwell Renderer, support for native Maya materials and workflow improvements. It now supports all Maya versions from 6.5 (Windows) or 7.0 (Mac OS X), respectively.
In addition to improved workflow and integration into the Maxwell Renderer, the plug-in for Cinema4D offers new commands and support for native Cinema 4D materials. It runs in all Cinema 4D versions from 8.5 under Mac OS X and Windows. From C4D 9.6, it also runs natively as a Universal Binary on Intel Macs.
The plug-in for 3ds Max also has an improved workflow and deeper integration with the Maxwell Renderer. In addition, the plug-in supports 3ds Max standard materials and cameras. It runs under all 3ds Max versions from 7.x.
You can find detailed information and informational videos on the corresponding web pages.
All three plug-ins are available free of charge to Maxwell customers on the customer download page.
