Digital creation days brings together the German-speaking digital-creation industry. Traditional postproduction houses, film and television producers, broadcasters, advertising and marketing agencies, architects, designers, game developers and publishers use the event for networking. The programme includes an exhibition, workshops, a recruiting area and the 2007 animago event, reflecting the industry’s rapid technical development. Autodesk will also present its IBC announcements in Karlsruhe, covering software for 3D animation, modelling and rendering as well as systems for editing, finishing, visual effects, workflow and media management.
Autodesk Media & Entertainment: Main Sponsor
“For us, this is the perfect event,” said Thomas Müller, Territory Marketing Manager at Autodesk Media & Entertainment. “The most important digital-content competition in the German-speaking market brings together precisely the people who use our solutions to create videos, images, characters and animations.”
As main sponsor, Autodesk is supporting the centrepiece of the animago Award programme. The award ceremony takes place on the evening of 8 November, followed by the animago party, where community networking has been a focus for years. Autodesk is also involved in the animago cinema lounge. During both days of digital creation days, the lounge provides a relaxed setting for screening the competition’s best productions. Free drinks are intended to attract visitors to the lounge.
Autodesk and animago: A Long Association
More than ten years ago, Autodesk, then Kinetix, a division of Autodesk, co-founded animago. The company has supported the event over the years and returns as main sponsor. Statistics from recent years show that most awarded work was created with Autodesk products. 3ds Max and Maya, the company’s established tools for 3D animation, modelling and rendering, were the most commonly used solutions across the competition’s professional, education and home categories.
