A brand-new channel, “e.clips – The Entertainment Channel”, goes on air on Premiere Star in October. Around the clock, e.clips presents current and comprehensive information on the topics of cinema, television, video, games and music with
a focus on the German-language market. Presenters report on important events,
festivals and awards ceremonies as well as cinema releases, DVD, video, games and music-
releases. Fixed components of the programme are interviews with stars and
industry experts, reports from the red carpet as well as event tips and
star portraits. A special highlight on e.clips is the regular programme strand “e.clips next generation”. Here, graduates of film schools get the opportunity to present themselves and their films to a broad audience. Once a year, e.clips also presents the “Next Generation Award”, which is awarded by a prominent expert jury. e.clips’ cooperation partner is “Entertainment Media Verlag”, Germany’s leading specialist publisher for the entertainment industry, which sets benchmarks for the industry with its magazines and online offerings. The technical handling, the playout center,
studio operation and post-production are handled by technical service provider Contento GmbH in Unterföhring.
e.clips Managing Director Dr. Philipp Riccabona: “With its attractive and informative programme offering, e.clips bundles the great interest in the world of entertainment in a new special-interest channel. Topics from the fields of cinema and television, games and music, stars and events play a major role in Germany – the second-most-important media market in the world.
