The framework conditions for children’s happiness are to be discussed scientifically and practically as part of the conference. Under the patronage of Eva Luise Köhler, the wife of the Federal President, renowned scientists and educators, theorists and practitioners, media makers and politicians place “Happy Childhoods” at the center of the discussion.
Speakers and discussion participants include: Family Minister Dr. Ursula von der Leyen, ZDF Director General Prof. Markus Schächter, musician Peter Maffay, Prof. Gerald Hüther, head of the Central Office for Neurobiological Prevention Research at the University of Göttingen, Prof. Anton Bucher, happiness researcher at the University of Salzburg, Dr. Norbert Schneider, Chief Executive and board member of the German Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband, and presenter Gert Scobel.
Another focus of the event is the “Tabaluga tivi” happiness study. “Tabaluga tivi” and ZDF media research examined the feeling of happiness of four- to twelve-year-old children in Germany in a large-scale foundational study. The results of this qualitative and quantitative study will be presented to the public for the first time at the congress.
The children themselves also have their say. On the occasion of the specialist congress, Peter Maffay and a group of selected children hand over the list of demands on children’s happiness that they themselves developed to Family Minister von der Leyen and ZDF Director General Schächter.
The congress is aimed at educators, education, media and family politicians, knowledge communicators from media and culture as well as parents and parent organizations. For male and female teachers from Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse, this event is recognized as further training. Participation is free of charge.
Registrations for the two-day event “Completely happy? – Concepts and framework conditions of a happy childhood” as well as all further information are available starting immediately. Only written registrations are accepted.
