According to preliminary consolidated figures that take into account the results of the subsidiaries RTT USA Inc. and RTT Asia-Pacific Inc., revenues rose in the second quarter by 74 percent to 5,165 thousand euros (previous-year figure: 2,972 thousand euros) and in the half-year comparison by 60 percent to 9,182 thousand euros (previous-year figure: 5,733 thousand euros). With regard to the results and the provision of liquid funds, too, the company seamlessly continues the growth course of the past: Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) improved for the second quarter by 65 percent to 459 thousand euros (previous-year figure: 278 thousand euros) and for the first half-year by 59 percent to 988 thousand euros (previous-year figure: 623 thousand euros). The company is thus excellently equipped with liquid funds to achieve its objective – establishment as a leading globally operating provider of visualisation technology and –services –: Operating cash flow for the first half-year is at a very high level at 2,409 thousand euros (previous-year figure: 437 thousand euros) and is the solid basis for the further expansion of RTT AG.
The positive business figures are also reflected in employee development: RTT currently employs 230 employees at nine locations (H1 2006: 134). As an award for the successes, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology therefore honoured the company for the second time in succession with the “Bavaria’s Best 50” prize – recognition for particularly high-growth companies. Overall, the company’s growth was driven primarily by increased internationalisation but also by the increased use of visualisation solutions in the design and marketing field and the introduction of new product features. The expansion of business in the United States and Asia contributed significantly to RTT’s overall success.
Outlook: Expanded Product Features Drive New-Customer Business
Since the end of July this year, the new versions of the real-time visualisation software RTT DeltaGen and the digital-asset-management tool RTT Portal have been on the market. On the one hand, these software solutions offer the highest degree of realistic representation and, in addition, accelerate all workflows many times over. Overall, with the expanded versions RTT was able to set new standards in the industry regarding quality and workflow efficiency and win numerous new customers, including Serco GmbH and automotive supplier PSW. The forthcoming International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt also seems promising, as the RTT visualisation solutions contribute decisively to the success of many an automotive company. The RTT management therefore expects a further continuation of the dynamic growth successes for the full financial year. Ludwig A.
