Acht Frankfurt ordered two Autodesk Flame 2008 visual-effects systems and Autodesk Toxik 2008 compositing software at IBC.
Reseller Dreamwalks was scheduled to install the systems at the end of September 2007.
The Flame workstations ran Linux on HP hardware. Acht selected the platform for its performance, timeline, versioning tools and 3D workspace.
The studio had participated in the Toxik beta programme and adopted the standalone 2008 release after launch.
Toxik was intended to prepare 3D elements created in Autodesk 3ds Max before they moved into Flame for finishing.
