The South Korean software company INUS Technology, Inc., manufacturer of the Rapidform 3D scanning software family, now offers a new expanded version of the product XOS/Scan. Rapidform XOS2/Scan, still a companion product to XOR/Redesign and XOV/Verifier in the previous version XOS, is now a stand-alone software application for creating polygon mesh and surface models from the point clouds of 3D scan data. Numerous new program functions are intended to automate time-consuming tasks.

Rapidform XOS2 is initially available in an English version at a price of 9,995 euros. A German version is in work and is expected for January 2008.

XOS2 also comes with the “liveScan” tool, a real-time scan data capture device. This allows Rapidform XOS2 to directly control current 3D scanners from Creaform, Z Corporation, Konica Minolta, Perceptron, Kreon, Leica and Pharao.
