Digital Production is once again organizing the third DP seminar jointly with Missing Link Software Solutions GmbH and with the kind support of the SAE Institute. The event is devoted entirely to the subject of “Character Animation – Design & Animation Principles”. The internationally high-caliber speakers will pass on their experience and knowledge from various areas of Character Animation to the participants. At the conclusion, trends and the future of Design & Animation Priciples will be discussed with the participants in a discussion round. The seminar topics will be treated completely independently of software.
Greg Manwaring and Harald Siepermann were won over as lecturers for the seminars. Manwaring was an animator at Disney (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Lion King) and Warner Bros. (The Iron Giant). He worked, among other things, as Creative Head of Studio for Munich Animation, as director for Drachenfels from Super RTL and Hahn Film’s School for Vampires. He is currently preparing various Feature Film and TV projects.
Harald Siepermann works as an independent Character Designer and “Character Inventor” for Walt Disney, Dreamworks, Vanguard, A-Film A/S and many others. His characters can be admired in films such as Mulan, Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear and many other international blockbusters.
