Mackevision and Galerie der Medien merged on 1 October 2007 under the name Mackevision Medien Design.
The combined company brought together concept development, creative work, 2D and 3D visualisation, visual effects, animation and post-production for industrial clients, agencies and film producers.
Both teams already used a shared software workflow with complementary internally developed add-ons. Joint projects included films for the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class and Dodge Journey, the latter integrating a fully virtual vehicle with performers in live-action driving footage.
Mackevision moved its headquarters from Sindelfingen to Stuttgart, where about 30 employees worked at the new central office. The former Galerie der Medien site in Munich remained open under the Mackevision name.
A Detroit representative office was established to support Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep work and expand US business.
The company also introduced a new visual identity and planned an October website relaunch with client access, newsletter registration and a Lab section for downloads, plug-ins and add-ons.
