Nokia and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) announce their first partnership in the Middle East and Africa. Since August 2007, customers who choose the Nokia N73 or Nokia N93i Multimedia Computer mobile phones receive the blockbuster film Ghost Rider on a 1 GB Mini SD card. The film can be played exclusively on Nokia phones. The film is the first release on an SD card in Germany and is available in many Media Markt stores (28.- euros non-binding price recommendation).
„This partnership between Nokia and SPHE is the first of its kind in the Middle East and Africa. We hope to continue offering our customers the opportunity to watch high-resolution films such as Ghost Rider on Nokia mobile phones“, says Zsolt Menesi, Director of Multimedia Experiences for Nokia in the Middle East and Africa.
„We are pleased to work with Nokia as a partner and release our films on Memory Cards in the Middle East and Africa“, adds Pete Wood, Director Mobile Business Development at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. „Film fans can now watch the action film Ghost Rider anytime and anywhere.“
The 1 GB Mini SD card has additional space for personal photos, music, videos and games. SPHE chose Mobiclip, Actimagine’s patented video codec technology, to offer the film on Mini SD card.
