The TraceParts library can be accessed directly from the user interface of Alibre Design Professional and Expert. The 3D models are available in the native Alibre Design format and can thus be integrated into an existing design without detours. The library is characterized by a powerful search and dynamic 3D and 2D views. An intuitive user interface allows the user to search specifically and load components from the extensive library.
According to Greg Milliken, CEO of Alibre, this new business relationship supports design and manufacturing companies in making their desing work more efficient overall. This is achieved above all through the use of standard parts from library, allowing more time to be used for the actual design work.
“The extremely extensive TraceParts library is an immediate added value for our customers,” says Milliken. “It is practical to use standard parts wherever possible, since costs and time expenditure in desing can be reduced. The larger the selection the better – TraceParts offers one of the largest selections on the market”.
“We are pleased about the cooperation with Alibre,” says Bob Noftle, managing director of TraceParts Inc. “Alibre’s growing popularity, a great price-performance ratio and an intuitive user interface enlarge the market by opening up circles of users that until recently were not able to afford or learn 3D CAD. We are convinced that this large and underserved market provides attractive marketing potential for all component manufacturers who have their CAD catalogs created and published by TraceParts. Through our 3D content, the new users will receive clear added value, and Alibre’s market position gives us the unique opportunity to reach these users”.
