Studio Hamburg Sells AVC to Sertronics

Studio Hamburg sells its 330-person AVC service subsidiary to Switzerland’s Sertronics while refocusing on production.

Studio Hamburg sold its AVC service subsidiary to the Swiss Sertronics Group as part of a renewed focus on production.

The company had recently strengthened its Berlin operation by taking a stake in RBB subsidiary Dokfilm Fernsehproduktion Berlin-Brandenburg.

Sertronics, based in Spreitenbach, operated in consumer-electronics and IT services. It planned to continue AVC as an independent subsidiary under its existing management.

AVC employed about 330 people at the time. The transaction was applied retrospectively from 1 January 2007, and the purchase price was not disclosed.
