Realtime Technology AG, or RTT, continued its substantial growth trajectory in the third quarter of 2007. According to preliminary consolidated figures that include the results of subsidiaries RTT USA Inc. and RTT Asia-Pacific Inc., revenue rose 41 percent in the third quarter to €5.224 million (previous year: €3.697 million), and 53 percent in the first nine months of the year to €14.397 million (previous year: €9.429 million). RTT AG had therefore already exceeded the total result of the previous financial year at this point.
The quarterly result clearly reflects the positive business performance and the associated investment activity. Earnings from operating activities before taxes, interest and depreciation (EBITDA) rose 26 percent in the quarter to €904,000 (previous year: €720,000), and 41 percent for the year to date to €1.898 million (previous year: €1.346 million).
International activities made a significant contribution to the company’s positive development, as also demonstrated by staff growth. Professional Services teams were strengthened in the USA and Asia in particular. RTT USA now employs 50 people and RTT Asia-Pacific almost 20. RTT AG also appeared at various events in the USA and Asia. During the “Visualization Technology Roadshow 2007 Asia”, held from August 24 to September 7, RTT AG expanded its business activities in China, Korea and Japan and developed new customer groups in India. At Siggraph 2007 in San Diego in August, RTT presented its latest real-time ray-tracing developments at the NVIDIA, Rapidmind and Intersense stands. “Our goal is to exploit the international opportunities available and achieve a balanced global revenue distribution,” said Ludwig A. Fuchs, RTT founder and board member.
In the third quarter, the core products RTT DeltaGen and RTT Portal were further improved. New versions of the software with additional functionality were to become available later that month.
