Hamburg-based Bigpoint GmbH, a leading provider of browser-based online games (browser games), took 19th place at the „Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA“ awards ceremony last Monday. With revenue growth of 4589.01 % over the last four years, Bigpoint had already received 2nd place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Germany in October.

With the „Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA“, the internatonal auditing and consulting company Deloitte once again honoured 500 companies from the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) this year that have demonstrated particular growth and innovative strength at a rapid pace. The basis for the nominations was the average percentage revenue growth over the last five financial years, a certain proportion of which must have been generated from technology developed in-house. The awards ceremony took place in London on November 26, 2007.

„Second place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 was already an award that made us very proud. Being among the first 20 of the 500 fastest-growing companies shows us that we are on the right path with our corporate concept – and we still have a great deal planned,“ says Heiko Hubertz, founder and Managing Director of Bigpoint GmbH.

As a technology leader in the field of browser games, Bigpoint GmbH has set new quality standards in the display possibilities of browser games. Browser games are long-term multiplayer games that can be played online in the browser without downloading or installing additional software. Thanks to Bigpoint technology, the browser games no longer show any difference from PC and console games, but offer the advantage by comparison that they can be played online at any time. Four years after its foundation, Bigpoint already employs 110 people, and a further 20 are to strengthen the teams in Hamburg, Berlin and New York this year
