With the establishment of the five regional branches (Europe; Eastern Europe with the Middle East and Africa; Japan; North and South America; Asia and Oceania), the company’s rapid development is to be better managed organisationally. Kaspersky Lab is aiming for a strong expansion of its activities to further countries in the coming years.
Another decision by the Board of Directors should also be seen in this context: Evgeniy Buyakin, previously the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was appointed Chief Operational Officer (COO). Buyakin thus takes over operational management of the company and coordinates cooperation between the regional headquarters and the corporate headquarters in Moscow.
“Kaspersky Lab has recently shown very dynamic development and is growing enormously worldwide year after year. In order to be able to continue the pace of growth shown, we have decided to adapt the organisational structures”, explains Andreas Lamm, future Managing Director for Europe. “It was a logical decision to locate the European headquarters in Germany. The German-speaking countries currently represent the most important market for Kaspersky Lab, in which we generate around 20 percent of our worldwide revenue.”
