The solutions will be aimed at architects and cost estimators as well as construction companies that want to derive quantities from both 2D CAD and 3D BIM models in order subsequently to make coherent cost estimates.

“The cooperation between Autodesk as the worldwide market leader for planning software and RIB as one of the leading providers of project-management solutions for construction makes it possible to use the information contained in the digital building model even more sustainably and intensively. We thus provide our customers with tools that make them even more efficient and competitive”, explains Harald Oettl, Business Unit Director at Autodesk in Central Europe.

Michael Sauer, RIB board member, on the cooperation with Autodesk: “We are convinced that, with the consistency of the overall solution of both companies, we will deliver outstanding added value to our customers in future. Virtual designing and building is being advanced by the partnership, with all those involved in the project benefiting.”
