ASCON Group the latest version of its mechanical CAD solution KOMPAS-3D V9 was shown at EuroMold 2007, one of the leading world fairs for tool and mould making, design and product development.

ASCON was demonstrated at the trade fair stand in Hall 6.0 Stand B50 and also as a co-exhibitor at the joint stand of CAD.de, one of the most popular German CAD communities. The both stands had the highe visitor frequency. KOMPAS solutions were demonstrated for industry specialists, IT experts, design and construction chiefs and journalists from the whole world. The large number of functions of the classic 3D solid modeller, as well as expanded line of the improvements and the special add-on modules for KOMPAS-3D V9 were shown on the demo PCs. The visitors’ special attention was attracted by the latest novelty – the 3D monitor with the volumetric KOMPAS models on it. The 3D monitor was kindly made possible by ASCON’s partner – 3D Spatial View company.

During the intensive period of the fair, Maxim Bogdanov, ASCON’s head of marketing, gave a speech at the Design + Engineering Forum, which was organised within the framework of the exhibition. The presentation «KOMPAS-3D at First Glance» triggered the extensive discussion at the international conference, where software and hardware manufacturers, engineers and industrial designers presented Their topics and achievements.

The advantages of the KOMPAS-3D solution paid high recognition from visitors to EuroMold and the Design + Engineering Forum from Germany, Switzerland, England, China, India and many other countries, as well as the large number of new business contacts and meetings were held. Students of mechanical engineering and representatives of technical universities were particularly interested in the new CAD system. «I have alreay heard about KOMPAS-3D from one my friend and it was interesting for me to test the solution. I will try it more thoroughly at home, but, at first glance, I can say that there are all the main functions for mechanical design and the interface is very pictorial — that required little time to be used to», – said a student at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.
