Mac users can navigate applications including Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Google Earth, Graphisoft ArchiCAD 11, Adobe Acrobat Reader, QuickTime VR and Ovolab Geophoto with the 3D mouse.
Under Mac OS X 10.5, SpaceNavigator moves, zooms and rotates 3D objects simultaneously. It is used alongside a conventional mouse, with one hand navigating or positioning objects and the other selecting tools and editing content.
The division between navigation and selection is intended to streamline 3D workflows.
“Support for Mac OS X 10.5 reinforces our goal of providing cross-platform 3D navigation solutions,” said 3Dconnexion president Dieter Neujahr.
