Kaspersky Lab introduces Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Server Enterprise Edition. The solution protects high-performance x86/x64 enterprise servers running Microsoft Windows against every type of malware. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition is the world’s first antivirus software already certified for the new Microsoft Windows Server 2008 server platform. The certification guarantees full compatibility with Windows Server 2008 and the highest level of integration with the technologies of the new server platform.
The management functions in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server EE have been significantly expanded. Alongside improved functionality for customising administrator rights, local or remote control and administration via the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) makes it easier to manage and monitor a larger number of protected workstations. The solution now also allows operation in clusters, the creation of individual policies for different protection areas and the creation of settings templates to simplify administration.
For terminal server protection, the use of system resources has been optimised and the number of clients that can be protected increased. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition now also secures systems running Microsoft Terminal, Citrix Metaframe XPe FR 3, Citrix Presentation Server 3.0, Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 and Citrix Presentation Server 4.5.
Administrators’ work will in future be made easier by newly implemented support for the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). With its help, network administrators can track the functioning of the antivirus program and the status of antivirus protection.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Server Enterprise Edition is part of the Kaspersky Open Space Security enterprise product line. The solution is integrated into Kaspersky BusinessSpace Security, Kaspersky EnterpriseSpace Security and Kaspersky TotalSpace Security and will be available shortly.
