Primera Technology received Initiative Mittelstand’s Innovation Award at Cebit 2008.

The RoboWeb programme allows global control of CD/DVD duplication devices through a web browser. Developed by Primera partner KarLey, the software runs under all browser-supporting operating systems, such as Windows, Linux and MacOS.

Primera Technology manufactures professional duplication and printing devices for optical media such as CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Since its founding in 1998, the company has supplied disc-burning and printing robots for different requirements in terms of production quantities, speed and durability. Its portfolio ranges from small devices for any desk to industrial-quality duplication and printing systems and further specialist printers, for example for labels. Primera systems are compatible with both Microsoft and Apple operating systems and are used by banks and insurance companies, public authorities, the medical sector and as disc-on-demand solutions in video and audio.

The new RoboWeb software is a platform-independent complete solution for controlling and managing CD/DVD devices, including a server. Only the disc-burning robot and network cable need to be connected. Users throughout the network can then work with the device, burning and printing CDs or DVDs. Corporate identity can be defined uniformly across the company so that all productions share the same graphics and only the text fields are designed individually. Central monitoring makes it possible to check at any time who supplied which data for which burning operations. User rights can also be defined centrally, for example to prevent unauthorised burning of music CDs within the company.
