Animal Logic Selects Nuke for VFX Pipeline

The Foundry announces that Animal Logic has selected Nuke as a central component of its visual-effects and animation workflow.

Animal Logic selected Nuke after product studies indicated that it was the best fit for the company’s visual-effects and animation pipeline.

“Animal Logic has been a Foundry customer for a long time, and we are pleased that it has decided to introduce Nuke as such an important part of its workflow,” says Foundry chief executive Dr Bill Collis.

“We reached a point where we had to reconsider our existing workflow,” says Xavier Desdoigts, director of technical operations at Animal Logic.

“At the end of last year, we started developing several approaches. Even though the Foundry had not yet introduced the new user interface and several other changes, Nuke felt right.

“Nuke is fast and efficient, the transition from 2D to 3D is fluid, and so far we have not encountered anything that impairs its performance.”

The Foundry will demonstrate Nuke 5 at the NAB Show on Stand SL8605.
