Working with KOMPAS-3D V9 in German Becomes More Convenient

ASCON Group, one of the leading providers of professional CAD/CAM/PLM solutions, is pleased to introduce the improved version of its mechanical CAD product, KOMPAS-3D V9 SP2. KOMPAS solutions provide the classic framework for parametric 3D modelling, 2D drafting, design and documentation creation. There is a variety of additional modules and libraries, such as photorealistic rendering, animation, kinematic and dynamic analysis, extended CAD/CAM/PLM integration and other additions.

One of the main improvement in version 9 SP2 is the interactive learning system «KOMPAS-ABC» in German. Just 12 simple hours with this system simplifies the CAD learning process considerably and speeds up the transition from 2D to 3D CAD. Now German-speaking designers, engineers and other KOMPAS users can lose ever less time learning this powerful CAD solution and concentrate more on their design work.

The other important new feature (additon) in KOMPAS-3D is the TraceParts component libraries. With the help of the library, ASCON expands its own database through a variety of catalogues. KOMPAS users can import purchased and standard parts directly from the TraceParts library. TraceParts is one of the world’s leading mechanical component libraries and offers over 100 million 3D CAD models and 2D drawings from leading manufacturers in toolmaking, mechanical engineering, aviation, automotive and many other industries.
