Paramount Home Entertainment will once again release titles in the Blu-ray format, with the first Blu-ray Discs already scheduled for September. Paramount will thus continue to offer customers the greatest possible cinema experience, with image and sound quality and special features at the highest level. September’s Blu-ray releases begin with The Spiderwick Chronicles, Cloverfield and No Country for Old Men.
“Consumers continue to come first for Paramount Home Entertainment. We want to provide true fans with an even greater home-entertainment experience,” explained Stefan Mesner, Marketing Director at Paramount Home Entertainment. “We will release a whole range of exciting Blu-ray titles around the world before the end of this year. We look forward to expanding our offering even further.”
The Spiderwick Chronicles takes viewers on a fantastic journey into an invisible world and offers Blu-ray bonus material including “Behind the Scenes,” “Exploring the World of Spiderwick” and an exclusive look inside “Arthur Spiderwick’s Field Guide.”

Producer J.J. Abrams’s monster hit Cloverfield will also be available in high definition. Cloverfield grossed more than US$166 million worldwide and impressed critics and audiences alike with its shocking handheld-camera imagery. The Cloverfield Blu-ray Disc includes an exclusive “Special Investigation Mode” extra that gives buyers further details about the film. It also contains additional bonus material such as “Director’s Audio Commentary,” “The Making of Cloverfield,” “Deleted Scenes” and “Alternate Endings with Commentary.”
September will also bring Blu-ray Disc reissues of titles from Paramount’s back catalogue, including Black Rain, World Trade Center and The Manchurian Candidate.
