Toxik 2009 offers powerful compositing and visual-effects capabilities, including for large-format digital-film and television projects. The solution enables close collaboration with Maya 2009, accelerating and sustaining 3D-to-2D workflows.

Autodesk identifies stereoscopy and set-extension tools, expanded VFX tools, a faster 3D-to-2D workflow, and collaboration with Complexity as the most important new features.

Toxik 2009 is scheduled to become available in October of this year and will cost €3,900. The upgrade from Toxik 2008 costs US$875.
