Spycer enables professional data management for Mac OS, Windows and Linux systems. The solution now allows administrators to define and manage groups of computers for a SpycerNet independently of the existing infrastructure. Computers are assigned to SpycerNet groups through a password-protected administrator account. This significantly increases security in the peer-to-peer network. Because administrators can build on existing networks, a high degree of flexibility is also maintained.
Copying speed over Ethernet-based TCP/IP connections has also been significantly increased. Transfer rates are now close to the physical limit, accelerating copy operations.
A new, efficient multicast process allows the scalable SpycerNet content-management network to cross subnet boundaries. This provides considerable flexibility for data management in any IT infrastructure. As an open system, Spycer supports conventional IT infrastructures as well as all DVS products.
SpycerLink technology, now available on every workstation through Spycer, makes it possible to establish a fast InfiniBand connection to the SpycerBox NAS solution simply and cost-effectively. The resulting transfer speeds of around 500 Mbit/s considerably reduce data-transfer times.
The DVS software recognizes more than 100 graphics and container formats and displays them in its integrated media player. The built-in converter has also been expanded to support important additional formats.
