dc days: Character Modeling in C4D

Christian Drumm shows how to build a simple character using the box-modelling approach.

Tools such as Extrude, Extrude Inner, Knife, Hypernurbs and the Symmetry object are introduced. Simple texturing is also carried out. The workshop is aimed at beginners, who should nevertheless know at least the basics of the program. Navigation and the menu interface will therefore not be covered in detail.

Christian Drumm studied communication design at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences from 1999 to 2003. Afterwards, he worked part-time for two years at the Institute of Time-Based Media, where he still teaches 3D visualisation today. Even during his studies, Drumm worked full-time as a freelancer in 3D illustration and 2D and 3D animation for agencies and companies.
