Although production from editing through color management has already been conducted largely in HD for two years, only the new Sony monitors enable completely native HD playback and assessment of image material at full resolution.
Sony’s current BVM family offers advanced flat-panel displays for television, digital cinema and digital postproduction, as well as quality control, image evaluation and mastering applications. The LCD reference monitors feature Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a 12-bit image processor, a 10-bit LCD driver and Sony’s distinctive TRIMASTER technology. Further technical highlights, including the LED-based Precision Backlight System for balanced backlighting and Black Insertion mode for a dramatic reduction in motion blur, ensure high image quality and enable highly critical assessment of image material.
