Autodesk Holds Online Seminars on Sheet-Metal Design

Free training for companies that design and manufacture sheet-metal components.

Autodesk will hold online seminars on sheet-metal design at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on 9 and 11 December. The 40-minute sessions will provide an overview of Autodesk Inventor’s sheet-metal-design functionality and demonstrate how modern 3D solutions can reduce costs, save time and increase productivity. Autodesk Inventor enables efficient design of sheet-metal components using a digital prototype. Manufacturing data such as parametric punches and custom bend tables can be linked with an exact 3D model of the bent component and its flat pattern. The current version of Autodesk Inventor also includes improvements to sheet-metal styles, flanges, punch libraries and new sheet-metal fasteners.

“Online-seminar participants will learn about the benefits of sheet-metal design with Autodesk Inventor. Compared with 2D design, using a 3D design solution simplifies everyday work and increases productivity,” explained Wolfgang Lynen, industry marketing manager for Manufacturing at Autodesk. “The seminars provide a good opportunity to train effectively and get up to date within a few minutes.”

Interested participants need only an internet connection and can attend comfortably from their workplace or home. Registration is available at http://www.autodesk.de/blech.
