A small hero gets a large role. Eating, sleeping and watching television had been Rhino’s entire life in a trailer park in the middle of nowhere, until television superdog Bolt appeared and the quiet days ended.
In Rhino’s own heroic story, Bolt and his human friend Penny are in serious trouble, and Rhino is the only one who can save them from the evil green-eyed Dr Calico. Equipped with new superpowers, the round hamster races around the world like a meteor, confronts an army of dangerous and heavily armed opponents and demonstrates that even the smallest characters can be heroes.
Rhino also reveals another talent: he adores the music of teenage star Hannah Montana, played by Miley Cyrus, and cannot rule out a singing career alongside his superhero work. Film fans could watch him rock the hamster ball.
Comedian Axel Stein voiced the character in the German version. Directed by Nathan Greno, the short film Super Rhino was included only on the DVD and Blu-ray Disc of Bolt, scheduled for release on June 18, 2009.
