GOA, Orange’s computer-games division, and multiplayer online-game operator True Games announced the closed-beta date for the forthcoming Warrior Epic. Beginning April 30, thousands of warriors could take part in battles in the world of Providence. Registered players selected to participate received a beta key at their supplied email address.
“The initial response to Warrior Epic was fantastic, and the team has worked hard to prepare the game for beta testing,” said GOA managing director Ghislaine Le Rhun Gautier. “This period is always especially exciting for everyone involved in development, and we look forward to the first comments from the beta phase.”
“We are very excited finally to show the new features, great content and all the polish that has gone into developing Warrior Epic,” said True Games founder and chairman Jeff Lujan. “We are eager to see how our beta community handles the exciting content and look forward to feedback on the way to the official launch.”
The Warrior Epic team had improved every aspect of the game since a small player group saw an early build during the previous year. Changes included a substantially expanded user experience, new abilities added to the talent trees of base and sub-character classes, and much of the endgame, with new bosses, quests, campaigns and items for higher-level players.
Warrior Epic was developed by Possibility Space in Austin, Texas. The online action role-playing game was set in an original fantasy universe. Players commanded a warrior hall from which they directed their characters’ adventures, choosing from a broad range of warrior classes with distinct play styles. Both the classes and the hall could be upgraded. The game included multiplayer campaigns, an adventure mode and solo quests.
