GOA, Orange’s computer-games division, and international multiplayer online-game operator True Games Interactive launched the anticipated action online role-playing game Warrior Epic on May 19. Austin, Texas-based Possibility Space developed the title.
Warrior Epic is an online fantasy hack-and-slash game. Players command a warrior hall from which they direct adventures undertaken by characters of their choice, each with an individual play style. Both character classes and the hall can be upgraded. Multiplayer campaigns, adventure mode, solo quests and PvP add variety. Death is not the end; instead, it opens new strategic possibilities.
The warrior-spirit system lets fallen warriors be revived in their hall at any time or transformed into spirits. Bound to weapons, spirits improve weapon abilities and inflict damage when summoned. Warrior Epic focused on 20- to 30-minute missions, during which warriors could rise rapidly through the ranks and collect substantial loot.
“Players involved in the rigorous beta-testing process have had a taste of the game’s many elements,” said GOA Managing Director Ghislaine Le Rhun Gautier. “We were delighted by the positive response, so expectations for the launch are high among everyone involved.”
“May 19 is a big day for GOA and True Games, and especially for Warrior Epic fans,” said True Games Interactive founder and chairman Jeff Lujan. “Our wonderful Warrior Epic community stayed with us throughout testing and will be rewarded when the game officially goes online and they experience the brand-new features and events, fantastic items in the store and much more.”
