Good questions — and answers will be available at the 12th AnimationMeeting, held as part of the Munich Film Festival. The organiser is MedienCampus Bayern, the umbrella association for media education and professional training.
The free event takes place on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 8 p.m. in the Black Box at the Gasteig. As every year, the programme includes exciting showcases presented by industry professionals, some for the first time in Germany. Professor Gabriele Goderbauer-Marchner, Managing Director of MedienCampus Bayern, says: “AnimationMeeting offers a look behind the scenes of animation, animated film and visual effects. It brings together people interested in media, emerging media talent and the animation industry.”
This year’s participants include Sebastian von Wyschetzki and Markus Goles of ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion. In their ProSieben 3.0 presentation, they will show the making of the on-air promotion for Germany’s Next Topmodel. Tim Rau of RTT AG will present the creation of the current Toyota iQ trailer under the motto “Make it ‘virtually’ real!”
Tom Moran of Pool Productions Media and Akira Endo of Scanwerk will show the trailer for the latest generation of Kawasaki’s ER-6n road motorcycle. The one-minute Full HD short film was produced for the model’s world premiere at INTERMOT in Cologne.
Alessandro Riga and Laurent Nivalle will discuss media tools in Citroën’s automotive design process. Gert Zimmermann of filmtoolsConsult will moderate and organise the evening.
