The European Cinema Summit takes place in Brussels from June 15 to 18, 2009 and offers every part of the industry a platform for ideas and exchange.
Alongside trade shows, seminars and workshops, screenings of the latest film projects will be held. Highlights include new 3D films, among them a screening trailer for “Delusion 3D” by Munich production company Virtual Experience. With increasing numbers of US 3D films entering the European market, 3D cinema and the associated digitisation of cinemas will certainly be among the most vigorously discussed issues. The question is how long German cinema operators can maintain their hesitant approach to digitisation. The entire industry will therefore be watching Brussels on June 15.
