In his speech, FFF Managing Director Prof. Dr Klaus Schaefer welcomed guests from the film and television industry, including Veronika Ferres, Michael “Bully” Herbig, Juliane Köhler, Senta Berger, Katharina Schüttler, Frank-Markus Barwasser, Alexander Held, Wotan Wilke Möhring, Sophie von Kessel, Lisa Martinek, Dennenesch Zoudé, Caroline Link, Thomas Kronthaler, Joseph Vilsmaier, Dr Michael Verhoeven, Vivian Naefe, Carlo Rola, Franz Xaver Gernstl, Rainer Matsutani, Hans W. Geißendörfer, Friedrich Ani, Jan Mojto, Martin Moszkowicz, Uli Aselmann, Oliver Berben, Max Wiedemann, Quirin Berg, Manuela Stehr, Anatol Nitschke, Max Mannheimer, protagonist of the documentary “Der weiße Rabe,” and many more.
Minister of State Siegfried Schneider and Prof. Schaefer also welcomed Indian Consul General Anup K. Mudgal and Consul T.N. Anantha Krishna, as well as Indian producers who had travelled to Munich for the film festival and producer delegations from Québec and Australia.

More than ten producers presented cheques for repayments totalling almost €3.5 million, including Michael Bully Herbig for “Lissi und der Wilde Kaiser,” Markus Zimmer for “Die Geschichte vom Brandner Kaspar,” Andreas Ulmke-Smeaton and Ewa Karlström for “Die wilden Kerle,” and Martin Moszkowicz for “Das Parfum.”
The FFF Film Journalism Development Award, presented for the fifth time, went to Katharina Zabrzynski and Arne Orgassa, students at the German School of Journalism in Munich, for their article “Nur die Stimme zählt.”
