For 13 years, an expert jury has selected animago AWARD winners from more than 10,000 submissions from over 45 countries. The redesign of the competition and introduction of audience voting emphasise the animation industry’s importance. “Together with our media partners, we will conduct audience voting by specialist audiences in selected categories,” says animago Project Manager Matthias J. Lange.
The first media partners have already been confirmed:
In the Best Virtual Photograph category, users of Fotocommunity.de will vote for the animago AWARD winner. “We are pleased to have found an important industry partner in Fotocommunity.de,” says Lange. Stills can be submitted in any output format.
Front end, usability, idea, and design form the assessment basis for the Best Interactive Production category. Publishing platform Hobnox, the network of creatives for creatives and their fans, is the media partner in this category. The best work and ideas from the community are published at http://www.hobnox.com, and exceptional talent is supported. Hobnox network users will select the best interactive production at the end of August.
Mobile applications have been a focus since before the iPhone was introduced and are becoming increasingly important in today’s world. Readers of http://www.macmagazin.de are highly familiar with mobile applications and will decide the winner in the Best Mobile Production category. Usability, design, and the idea are the central criteria.
Preselection by various expert juries will ensure that every nominated entry has sufficient professional quality. All media partners are experts in their fields.
Anyone wishing to participate can submit entries at http://www.animago.com until 31 July 2009, naturally across all eleven categories. Participation is open to everyone and free of charge.
