The company demonstrates its broad range of transmission options for major events using the FIFA World Cup in South Africa as an example. In addition to these services, show visitors can see new features of the MPLS-based Broadcast NGN IP platform and examples of flexible individual solutions. The company also explains how HDTV, IT and telecommunications signals are transmitted together on this platform.
Further presentations on new HD-capable SNG systems explain end-to-end digital transmission from the event location to the studio. The new systems are also equipped with HD production technology, from camera and lighting to the editing suite. Equipped with the latest technology, Media Broadcast’s SNG systems provide transmission paths with bandwidths of up to 80 MBit/s and corresponding redundancies.
Satellite-distribution services integrate seamlessly with these platforms. Media Broadcast demonstrates the use of different broadcast formats based on DVB-S, DVB-S2 or IP. The latest solution for end-to-end IP-based services is the distribution of an HD programme for Czech TV, the state television broadcaster of the Czech Republic.
These presentations are supplemented by examples of satellite-supported corporate communication and the connection of remote corporate networks via satellite.
With Digital Cinema, the company demonstrates solutions for delivering and distributing digital cinema films. At the core of the presentations is the satellite-based network for the cinema industry, which can therefore be used throughout Europe and includes all market partners. Distribution services for transmitting alternative content and event-related content are also presented and explained.
