According to EA, FIFA 10 comes up trumps with the first true 360° dribbling system and the new Skilled Dribbling technology, which gives players more ball control and previously unknown responsiveness. FIFA 10 features an upgraded Manager Mode containing more than 50 far-reaching improvements.
Also new are the practice arena and the ability to create custom set pieces. With the all-new Virtual Pro, players can now live out their fantasies of taking the field as a professional footballer, because Game Face allows them to put themselves into the game and master a career with more than 200 accomplishments to complete across all game modes.
With a club in Online Team Play, players can then play 10 against 10 with hundreds of thousands of Virtual Pros from around the world in the Pro Club Championship, with the best competing to determine the regional and world champions. With its further refined and already powerful game engine, FIFA 10 remains the benchmark –- the most complete football simulation on the market.
In addition, the My Live Season service has been expanded into a fully fledged game mode for FIFA 10 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, allowing subscribers to feel the pulse of football week after week through dynamic updates with real-world information. The new My Live Season premium service in FIFA 10 provides weekly updates on player form, transfers, injuries, suspensions, fixtures, results and tables for the Barclay’s Premier League, La Liga BBVA, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and the Mexican Primera Division. My Live Season costs €4.99 on PlayStation Network and 400 points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the current season and a single league. The complete league package is available for €9.99 on PlayStation Network and 800 points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
FIFA 10 Wii offers gripping, nonstop football action. Increased shooting power means expanded shooting options, as does the new targeted passing. More responsive goalkeepers make more skillful and risky saves, so there is plenty of action in attack. The new Strike It system for set pieces tests players’ nerves to the utmost: those involved must shake their Wii Remote with pinpoint accuracy to either score or save free kicks, penalties and corners. In competition against family and friends, performances can be compared, and in 2-on-2 online play, matches and tournaments are contested with support from friends.
FIFA 10 is also making its debut on the iPhone and iPod touch and will be available from October 2 in the App Store. FIFA 10 for iPhone brings the full FIFA experience to mobile players. The only fully licensed football game in the App Store includes 12,650 players, 570 teams and 30 leagues, realistically representing the real teams of the 2009/2010 season from around the world.
According to EA, the simple, innovative two-button controls allow fast, varied passing and tackling. The responsive shooting system offers a wide range of attacking options, regardless of whether the player challenges the goalkeeper with a long-range free kick or elegantly dribbles around him.
Six camera perspectives ensure that the player does not miss a single scene on the pitch.
With the built-in Wi-Fi mode, players can compete against other FIFA 10 fans while on the move. FIFA 10 for iPhone also offers plenty of entertainment between matches. In the Be a Pro mode familiar from the console versions, players can create their own footballer and accompany him from his first steps in professional football to his international breakthrough.
