With iNEWS Instinct 2.5, Avid presents a new version of its intuitively operated desktop editing solution for audio, video and script editing. iNEWS Instinct 2.5 enables journalists to produce news reports faster through accelerated, more controllable and more creative creation of voiceovers and VOSOTs (Voice Over Sound On Tape). The new version also features simplified editing workflows and MPEG4 proxy support to shorten production time before a report airs.
New Features in iNEWS Instinct 2.5
• Expanded audio functionality with innovative features for producing compelling audio effects: iNEWS Instinct 2.5 allows any section of the source clip’s audio track to be used in a sequence and the audio levels of individual clips to be adjusted separately. Journalists therefore save editing time while gaining even better opportunities to produce interesting reports.
• Support for additional video formats: iNEWS Instinct 2.5 supports a wide variety of formats and resolutions, including MPEG4 proxies, enabling journalists to create reports at lower resolution using higher-resolution material. This reduces bandwidth requirements. iNEWS Instinct 2.5 also offers greater flexibility and new collaboration options.
