From April 15 to 20, DVS will present comprehensive and powerful solutions for the professional post-production and broadcast market. At stand SL3305, NAB visitors can learn all about the latest DVS products Fuze, Atomix and SpycerBox Ultra, as well as current developments in CLIPSTER and VENICE.
DVS has expanded the extensive feature set of its flagship CLIPSTER product even further. Post-production houses benefit particularly from the DI workstation’s latest DCI capabilities: CLIPSTER generates 3D DCPs (Digital Cinema Packages) in real time and accelerates DCI mastering and 3D subtitling in 4K thanks to high-quality DVS hardware. A broad range of stereoscopic real-time workflows enables users to handle 3D material effortlessly. CLIPSTER’s Digital Acquisition eliminates the need to process many different RAW formats separately: the award-winning DI workstation combines RAW data from RED, ARRI D-20/D-21 and Phantom cameras on a single timeline, performing both decoding and demosaicing of all RAW formats in real time. CLIPSTER now also supports RAW material from Silicon Imaging’s SI-2K camera.
Only one year after its market launch, the DVS VENICE video server already has new features: alongside real-time capture and playout of compressed formats, VENICE offers comprehensive features including four independent channel pairs, playlists, convenient presets and support for Panasonic AVC-Intra. Thanks to its comprehensive playlist support, VENICE even handles VDCP. At NAB 2010, DVS will show its video server’s new transcoding mode, expanded support for compressed formats and numerous workflow improvements.
With Fuze, DVS is ushering in a new era of DCI mastering at NAB: designed for file-based digital cinema delivery including DCPs, Fuze meets the steadily growing demands of professional post-production. Fuze handles stereoscopic 3D content as easily as 2D material, creates and encrypts DCPs at maximum speed, and provides subtitling at resolutions up to 2K. Fuze also includes a flexible Cinema Reel editing tool and enables scaling, colour-space conversion and encoding into compressed formats.
DVS is showing SpycerBox Ultra at NAB for the first time: the fast and reliable storage solution is tailored perfectly to the customer’s respective workflow requirements. Configured as a NAS or “SAN in a Box” solution, SpycerBox Ultra is equipped with either powerful SAS or high-capacity SATA hard drives, providing 14.4 TB or up to 48 TB of storage respectively. The core of the VENICE video server is also available as a separate module that can be integrated directly into SpycerBox to create a high-performance capture/playout storage solution.
With Atomix, DVS introduces an innovative new video board that enables real-time image processing at any resolution from SD to 4K. With versatile and flexible features, the powerful DVS hardware complements any software solution.
