RTT is also the first provider to offer a PDM connector, allowing PDM data from Siemens Teamcenter to be integrated directly into RTT DeltaGen and used with the new RTT PictureBook 5.5. Thanks to further new functions, almost every visualisation task can now be completed with a single application, saving companies time and costs.
RTT DeltaGen 9.5 impresses with well-designed functions. Users can now personalise the graphical user interface (GUI) to adapt it to their own workflow and then save their own GUI layout in the form of so-called workbenches. This makes the individual working environment available after every start. RTT has also integrated a range of functions that previously required third-party solutions. These include the option to create finished 2D render passes for 2D post-production. Users can then continue using them directly in 2D applications such as Adobe Photoshop. This enables a faster transition to the second post-production phase, saving time and costs.
Smooth Animations and Fast Scaling
Another innovation is the integrated Animation Editor. It can be used to create smooth path animations in RTT DeltaGen and influence them through graph editors. The editor provides path animations for cameras and objects, as well as new animation types for the post-processor and human models from RTT Human and RTT Ramsis. Integrating the editor eliminates the laborious export of data to other tools such as Maya. RTT has also further optimised its software in the scaling area, for example for use on powerwalls. RTT Scale uses multicast technology and load balancing between individual powerwall segments, accelerating data transfer. Even complex video textures are reproduced without difficulty in high-end quality.
Direct Access to PDM Data
With the PDM Connector (PDM: Product Data Management), RTT introduces its most important innovation in the 3D visualisation market. RTT PictureBook 5.5 now provides easy access from RTT DeltaGen to the Siemens Teamcenter PDM solution. This allows users to access assembly structures and geometry data in the PDM system directly. Geometry-data updates are also available and can be used immediately in the user’s own project. RTT is thus the first provider to establish a direct connection between PDM and virtual-reality systems, enabling closer collaboration between development and visualisation specialists within the company. Customers benefit from this PDM connection through accelerated workflows and visualisations that always reflect the current state of geometry and assembly data. They can therefore present high-quality results more quickly and distinguish themselves positively from the competition.
