All applicants can obtain comprehensive information about the application process and degree programmes at the information events and take a look behind the scenes of a professional media degree programme. Open questions can be clarified during individual consultation appointments, and there is an opportunity to view editing suites and studios and attend trial lectures or seminars. The three main degree programmes in Media Management, Journalism, and Television & Film generally lead to the nationally and internationally recognised Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) qualification after the standard study period of six semesters. Within these bachelor’s degree programmes, which are tailored to the modern media landscape, specialisations are available in Digital Design, Marketing & Business Communication, TV Journalism/Presentation, and Online Journalism.
The Television & Film programme covers all the requirements of current television and film productions through the disciplines of directing, camera, screenwriting, production and audio.
DEKRA Hochschule Berlin provides students with extensive technical equipment for producing professional project work. Several multimedia laboratories are available for digital project processing. In addition to the university’s own equipment, production capacities at project partners such as local television stations and production studios are also used. Students are taught in small groups by university teachers and lecturers with particular academic reputations or many years of practical experience.
The application deadline for the 2010/11 winter semester is August 31, 2010. The waiting-list procedure applies after that date.
