With around 355,000 visitors, the film once again kept the competition at bay, bringing its total to nearly 1.8 million visitors, the best result for a film released this year. At the same time, ALICE IN WONDERLAND represents Tim Burton’s biggest box-office success in Germany to date.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND also continues its successful international run: the 3D spectacle passed the half-billion-dollar box-office threshold last weekend, with worldwide takings of around US$566 million. In numerous major markets, including Japan, France and Spain, ALICE IN WONDERLAND will not open until the coming weeks.
