The event initiated by Addison-Wesley lasts two hours. During this time, participants walk along a predetermined route through one of the participating cities with their iPhones or other camera phones. The walk for “City Photo Walkers” currently passes through Berlin, Bräunlingen, Chemnitz, Frankfurt, Göttingen, Graz, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Paderborn, Saarbrücken, Vienna and Zurich.
There is even still time to join the Mobile City Walk in your own city. The MCW website explains how. The best picture from each city will receive a material prize, as will the “pictures” of the day.
