The RayModeler 3D Display is still only a prototype for now – but promising so far. LED lights make it possible to see an image from every direction. The stereoscopic effect and depth work because the eye actually perceives two different images, and because of the depth of the display, which can be viewed from every side, it appears like objects in a crystal ball or something similar.

A connection to sensors also allows objects to react to movements, for example – naturally supported by a considerable amount of computing power.

The display is located in the “Emerging Technologies Area” at Siggraph.
