The prototype, being presented in SIGGRAPH’s “Emerging Technologies Area”, allows an image to be viewed from 306° – LED lights present different viewing angles, creating the stereoscopic effect. Unlike other methods, however, this has a genuine spatial effect and, when combined with motion-tracking technologies such as Natal or the Wii controller, also permits direct interaction with the viewer – without having to sacrifice 3D, since everything happens in real time.
