According to the manufacturer, LightWave 10 will also offer new cinematography and game-development tools. These come from the experience NewTek gained supporting its products for cinema blockbusters including Avatar, Tintin and “A Christmas Carol”. Among other things, LightWave offers continuous support for lookup tables throughout the workflow, providing more realistic lighting and compositing that is as flexible as possible.
LightWave 10 is expected to be on shelves at the end of the year for just under 1,500 dollars, or just under 700 dollars as an upgrade.
